Community Park. Swansea
About
A green space in the middle of Swansea, Rosehill Quarry Community Park is a haven for wildlife and local people of all ages.
In Victorian times Rosehill Quarry provided the stone for the house in Mount pleasant. Later, it became the site of a tennis club, and then, in the 1980s a community park. Now it welcomes dog walkers, picknickers, artists, school trips and anyone who likes a bit of green space.
Rosehill Quarry is a unique partnership: it is owned by Swansea Council, but is managed day to day by volunteers of the Rosehill Quarry Group. New volunteers are always welcome to get involved in practical conservation work or running fun events.
